Major Recruitment is looking for a Vehicle Technician for our client based at Chester-Le-Street’s trusted local garage.

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Vehicle Technician to help deliver top-quality service to our growing customer base. If you're passionate about automotive repair, take pride in your work, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment — we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues
• Carry out routine servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint issues accurately
• Maintain clear, accurate records of work carried out
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers when required
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment
• Stay updated on technical information and industry best practices

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic (minimum 2 years preferred)
• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent qualification)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with modern diagnostic equipment and repair software
• Full UK driving licence
• A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
